Dr. Amber Kinser is Professor of Communication and Chair of the Department of Communication at East Tennessee State University. She completed her ten-year term as Director of Women's Studies at the end of 2009.
Kinser holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Purdue University. Her doctoral work emphasized Human Interaction and specifically communication in close relationships. Her sub-area was Gender and Family Studies.
